Islamic Discourse and Baduy in Tanah Ulayat Kanekes: Contestations and Connections

The Cicakal Girang village, known as the village where Muslim Baduy lives, has different religious practices from Baduy. Obedience to customs is very loose in this which indigenous community permits. This study investigates cultural discourse producing and reproduction of such well. empirical data were collected through fieldwork analyzed with analysis method. finds that its Islamic activities practice existing system, namely a place 'penghulu ratu’ (the queen) community.
